Luc Moore sat down with Sascha Lange right after the first boxes of “Never Not Windsurfing” landed in his living room (he’s still shipping them himself at midnight). This is the episode every windsurfer over 30 has been waiting for.
Sascha, you just wrote a 368-page masterpiece – why the hell did you do this to yourself?
Because windsurfing gave me everything. I turned 40 and realised I’m fitter now than when I was 25 – because I finally understand exactly how the body works for our sport. I wanted to bottle that and give it back. Once you plane for the first time, you’re hooked for life – this book is the cheat code to stay hooked forever.
50 pros contributed – how did you pull that off?
I just asked. And almost everyone said yes immediately. Balz Müller sent me a WhatsApp novel that added 10 pages to the book by itself. Björn, Sarah-Quita, Victor, Marcilio, Campello… they all wrote personal pieces. When Captain Paul Watson agreed to the foreword, I nearly dropped my phone – he’s a hero for protecting our oceans, and it felt perfect.
