Foil Life Travel Show Episode #11 - SWS Muskoka on Lake Muskoka

On this episode of the Foil Life Podcast, Luc Moore sits down with Charlie Newlands of SWS Muskoka (E-Foil Sports Muskoka) for a school-and-travel deep dive into e-foiling and multi-sport water fun in the heart of Ontario cottage country.

>br>

Charlie shares how the family-run operation runs three locations centered on Lake Rosseau in Port Carling—main marina base, JW Marriott partnerships, and his own dock—offering Flight Board e-foils (Softop 2, Series 6, Flight Jet 2), wake foiling, wake surfing, water skiing, kids camps, cottage clinics, boat and jet-ski rentals, and more. They cover the beginner-friendly progression (stomach → knees → stand, controller unlocks, slow plowing before speed and foil lift), new rental program details, safety and licensing realities (e-foils treated more like SUPs), conditions on the Muskoka lakes versus open Georgian Bay water, and the full range of local experiences that turn a lesson into a complete Muskoka adventure.

Episode Highlights:

- Muskoka as a destination—flat-water learning, nearby Algonquin/Gwangan Park hiking and wildlife, Northern Lights, dining, boat cruises, and why Toronto is only two hours away
- Lesson structure for all levels: one-on-one, groups, private cottage visits, and the new “rent and take it to the cottage” option
- Exact first-lesson flow—helmet/life jacket, safety video, controller, progressive stance, instructor on a second board, and why e-foil lift feels different from tow or wing
- Full multi-sport offering: wake foil, wake surf, water ski, kids camps, MasterCraft clinics, and Tuesday-night water-ski shows in Bala
- Family-run marina identity, dealer affiliations (Flight Board service center, O’Brien, Kawasaki, Legend, Edgewater), and end-of-season demo and sale plans
- Cold-water performance notes (Flight Boards love Canadian temps) and early-season ice/slush riding stories

A practical, enthusiastic conversation packed with real teaching tips, local knowledge, and genuine excitement for getting more people on the water—whether it’s their first e-foil session or a full cottage-country multi-sport day.

[00:00:00] Hey everyone, welcome back to the show. On this episode we sit down with Charlie Newlands of SWS Muskoka to introduce their e-foil school and water sports school on our 11th episode of the Foil Life Travel Show. We get to deep dive into e-foiling and multi-sport water fun in the heart of Ontario, Cottage Country. Such beautiful countryside in the summertime. So we do hope that you enjoy this episode.

[00:00:26] Next, we want to say a big thank you to our team. We have Frank, Stefan and Pam. Thank you for your hard work behind the scenes that makes this show possible. Next, as you know, because you've downloaded WaterSpeed right? You've downloaded WaterSpeed. Because WaterSpeed is the official app of our Foil Life community. It is the app that all of our water sports athletes use to track their performance on the water.

[00:00:51] It works across 30 plus water sports including downwind, wingfoil, sailing, windsurfing, which we all do. And it turns every session into something you can learn from. So before, if you haven't done so already, before you listen to this amazing episode, make sure to go over to your app store or Google Play or whatever it is kind of phone you have and download WaterSpeed now. It's available on iOS and Android. Lastly, a big thank you to our sponsors for 2026. We want to thank North Foils, Mystic and OnKiteboarding.

[00:01:19] Please visit foilifepodcast.com forward slash sponsors to learn more about them. Now I hope you enjoy the show. Welcome to Foil Life. Whether you wing, kite, parowing, downwind, pump or eFoil, thanks for being here. Hey man, nice to see you. Thanks for having me back on the show. Sick. So this is a school episode and a travel episode. So first of all, what's the name of this lovely school that you have going on?

[00:01:46] So our flight school is called EFoil Sports Muskoka. We have three locations. So our main location is at our marina on Lake Rosseau in Port Carling. And then we also have the JW Marriott. So guests at the hotel can eFoil and even cottagers are welcome to come and go eFoil in because they can have lunch and do stuff like that there. And then I also run another eFoils.

[00:02:14] Our other eFoil school is here actually where we're recording right now at my own resident on Lake Rosso. So it's just a good, it's, you know, very right sort of in the middle of town and people can just come here and also take eFoil lessons and wake foil lessons. And we have the latest flight board products. So series, series six and the flight jet to mass, all the proper safety equipment, helmets, life jackets, wetsuit if necessary. Lots of deep water.

[00:02:44] We have just go off our dock here and you're ready to go. Yeah, I was going to ask what the conditions were like. Obviously, you're going to go out when it's calmer for eFoiling. Are there any situations where you take out people in a bit of wind chop or is it mainly pretty flat water? Mostly it's all flat water here on the Muskoka Lakes. So where we do our lessons and our cottage clinics, it can be a little bit choppy.

[00:03:09] Where it can get more choppy and where it's kind of hit or miss is where if we do like a private clinic down at someone's cottage, say like in Thunder Beach. Or on Georgian Bay, where it's a bit more open water. There, we would kind of take it case by case. But if someone really wants to go and get after it and play in the waves and all that, we'd be happy to take them out there. The learning curve might be a little bit harder if you're really starting from scratch out in the waves.

[00:03:35] But, you know, but yeah, usually it's all flat water and good conditions, deep water as well. You know, beach access or just jump off the dock and throw it in and away you go. Okay. And you're in a pretty beautiful part of Ontario too, right? Yes, we are. We're in beautiful Muskoka Lakes here. We're located right in Port Carling. So that's where both of two of our locations are. And yeah, this is where it all happens. So come hit us up.

[00:04:05] We got the, like I said, the latest flight board gear. The soft top two flight boards are incredible. Those are so durable. They look awesome on the water. That's what we're selling. That's what we're having people do lessons on. Um, so yeah, this is exciting to let everyone know that on the podcast. So what kind of, obviously you're in a touristic area. So let's say people are coming in from even, I don't know, even if they want to do a Canadian adventure overseas,

[00:04:33] because Muskoka Lakes is one of the hotspots to hit if you're going to come anywhere to Ontario. So apart from what we're doing here, what else is there that they could do in the area? Well, yeah. So there's lots to do in the area here in Muskoka. So, you know, we, besides our flight schools and, and, and water ski school lessons, we also offer a professional water ski show.

[00:04:55] But, you know, there's yoga, there's, you know, farmers markets, there's great dining at night, lots of shopping in the little towns, great little restaurants, as I mentioned, lots of little ice cream shops. Um, you know, people can take boat cruises and to around all the lakes and have a guys sort of show you different, uh, you know, you know, there's some really beautiful cottages here. Some celebrities, you know, old, old, um, hotels that have burnt down and that rebuilt.

[00:05:24] Um, it's kind of the center of the universe, uh, during the summer months here. And there is lots to do besides be on an e-foil, uh, boating and jet skiing is big here. Um, obviously the lake and swimming in on the dock and the, but your pets will love it here. And there's lots of great hotels and, um, parks you can, you can stay at. And, uh, yeah, that's, it's a wonderful place for June, July, August, September, basically.

[00:05:52] And the park's not that far, right? You got some really beautiful back country there for amazing hiking, good biking, all that kind of thing. Yeah. So there's a lot of, uh, little national parks in Muskoka, but the big park on Guamquam park is only about 45 minutes from here. And you can, you know, that's, that's incredible up there. So, you know, they have all the hiking, biking, canoeing, like you'll see moose, you'll see deer, you'll hear the wolves at night.

[00:06:18] Um, and obviously like the stars are incredible and we've been lucky the last couple of, uh, last couple of years. Like the Northern lights have just been like popping off and you don't even need like the exposure from your camera to see it. Like you just see it like, like in the sky, like it's, it's incredible. So there's lots to do here in Muskoka tourism is popping and, um, come E-foiling and then come and do all that other stuff as well. Well, you can make it a complete experience.

[00:06:44] So what do you guys teach primarily E-foiling, but you also said something else, right? Yeah. So, um, E-foil sports, Muskoka is, is basically all E-foil stuff. And then summer water sports is our water ski school and wakeboard school, wake surf school. So we sort of offer all that together. So we'll do like a cottage clinic. So we'll have the boat and, and the fly board. So people will be fly or sorry, of the boat and the E-foil.

[00:07:11] So people will be E-foiling and wake surfing at the same time and switch back and forth. So, um, so we offer lots of different, um, stuff to do in the water besides just E-foil and, you know, wake, wake foil lessons as well. That's a big, um, that's really turning up as well here in Muskoka. That's what all the kids seem to want to do these days is wake foil. Um, so yeah, we're kind of, um, we kind of, you know, put our feet in every sort of pot, uh, piece of the pot to, uh, in the water sports industry here.

[00:07:38] So we'll, um, yeah, whatever you want to do, if we'll take you for a boat cruise, if you want to go for a paddle boat canoe, we'll, we offer everything. Oh, sick. Now, what levels do you cater to? We cater to all levels. So if you're just the newbie that's never even seen one of these things before, or you're, you know, the weekend warrior or, you know, someone that's advanced and that just wants to go for a ride and, and take it out. So we do, we do all the levels across the board.

[00:08:08] Uh, mostly we're doing beginners and sort of intermediate, um, lessons, I would say would be our majority of, of, um, customers. Um, but new, new this year, we're also doing like a rental program. So you don't need the instructor. You can just come and take it and rent it. Cause you know, they say nothing parties like a rental. So we want, uh, we want to hopefully that, uh, that business will, uh, we'll, uh, we'll, we'll take off here. Cause we didn't do that last year.

[00:08:35] We had a lot of people wanting just to rent it, take it to their cottage for the weekend and E-foil there and then, and then bring it back. So that's going to be exciting that we're going to be able to offer that this summer as well. What, because of where I am in the world right now and how crazy renting a vehicle is and how they don't tell you about all the insurances and the potholes. Let's say somebody borrows an E-foil and happens to take it too close to shore. Is there anything that they would need to know about? You break it, you buy it, or how does that work?

[00:09:04] Yeah. Good, great question. So basically, so you would, so it's $600 for the day. Um, and then you would, we're, you just leave your credit card and we would take a deposit of $2,000. And then when you bring it back, you would get that deposit back. If there was significant damage, uh, depending on the damage, we would either, you know, take some of that money that the deposit or all of it.

[00:09:32] Um, if it was like totally messed up and completely a write-off, uh, we would, we would probably, we, we would have to take that case by case. Um, but you know, people are pretty good with, with the equipment and not like, cause we also do jet ski rentals. So, um, it's the same sort of thing with that, you know, lead your credit card, driver's license, um, and all that.

[00:09:54] And, um, you know, we just hope people can be respectful and, and I'd rather have, you know, have the foil, um, break and hit something then like have something happen with like some, like have it involved with someone else or something like that. So we always, we always get instruction on how to use it before someone takes it and they sign a waiver and we give them a helmet and life jacket. And we do offer the instructor first before we throw them out there with just the rental, but some people just, they want to take it and go.

[00:10:23] So, okay. Yeah. Is there, are there any requirements for licensing for, I know if you're going to rent a jet ski or a boat, you should theoretically have your boating license. Yeah. So it is something like that for E-foil. No, so there's not, no, there's not like, it's not, there's not like a requirement to have, um, a boaters license or driver's license for E for, for operating E-foil where you would probably want to have though.

[00:10:53] You would want to have a boaters license because right now, like the E-foils are kind of in the gray area with transport Canada with like the rules and regulations. So they are approved to, so basically an E-foil is treated like a standup paddleboard on the water. Hmm. So you want to have like a life jacket. You, if you have a safety kit, that would be great too. Um, but they're really more concerned about a life jacket.

[00:11:16] Um, so yeah, if you have all, so you don't necessarily, you don't need to have the boaters license or a driver's license to opt to come in and rent, um, a foil or to use a foil at our ski schools or flight schools. Um, yeah, I think I, did I, did I miss something? What else? Yeah. No, you don't, you don't need one if you want to rent. Let's say, do you guys do boat rentals as well? Yeah. So if you did a boat rental, that's different.

[00:11:41] So if you did a boat rental and jet ski rental, you, we, we would, we would, we would give you a temporary, if you don't have a boater's license, we would give you a temporary boater's license attached to your driver's license. Oh, cool. Good to know. That's how we get around that. Um, that's how that works. So, but for the E-foils, because it's treated more like a standup paddleboard, you know, they're, they're not asking you, I could be completely wrong. I don't think they're asking you to have a, um, uh, boaters license to operate a standup paddleboard.

[00:12:11] So that's kind of how the open-air trade is around here. So as long as you have a life jacket, if you have the, if you have your license, great, but don't worry about that so much. Um, if you're thinking about coming to do it. Okay. So, um, you have a, you know, a lot of sessions, multi-day camps. Yeah. So we do, we do, we can, we offer all that. So you can, if it's just you and if it's just a couple, they can, you know, book for an hour and I'll, I'll take them out one at a time.

[00:12:40] And then once they kind of get good, they can kind of go out by themselves. And then if you want to do a group lesson, so a group booking, you know, we, we recommend about three hours if you have about four, three or four more people. So that way everyone can have lots of time on the water, uh, multiple boards. So there won't just be one flight board. There'll be like at least two or three. So you can be out there with your friends and the instructor ripping around.

[00:13:03] Um, and then if you want to, if you want us to come to your private cottage, we can bring the foil or the boat and all that to your private cottage. Um, so if you're having a party or you just want us to come and hang out with you on the dock, we will bring the foil and the same rates apply because everything's sort of, we've done all locally here. Um, so yeah. So if you want to book, you can go to our website, you can book online. You can see, um, so summer watersports.com.

[00:13:30] You can just find the booking link at the booking link and it'll take you to the e-foil page. Um, or you can just call us, um, the numbers there as well, or email us. So some people just email us, uh, um, might, you know, you'll, you'll find all that information on our contact on the, on the website there. Oh, awesome. What's included? Let's say if it's my first time and I want to learn how to e-foil or want to learn how to foil what's included in that first lesson. Right. Okay.

[00:13:56] So you come down to the dock, we would, um, get you fitted with the helmet. We would get you fitted with the proper light jacket. And then we would go over sort of step by step. So I would introduce you to, you know, the area that we're going to be, um, e-foiling in. So it would tell, you know, this is deep water here. We want to stay over here. Then, um, we, they would watch our safety video.

[00:14:20] So they would just, it would just kind of go over everything that I'm going to tell you again, just so they have, they can sort of see it in front of you. And then they can always go back to it if they're waiting on the dock to watch the little video. Um, of our instruction video. So then, but then once they sort of watch the instructional video, I will then go over everything that they saw on that. So we'll start with the controller. So, you know, unlocking the controller every time you fall. So trigger minus trigger on the flight board.

[00:14:46] Um, so, cause every time you fall off the board, um, if the controller locked so that you can't, you know, if you hit it, it's not just going to shoot down the lake. So you'll get back on the board. So trigger minus trigger and away you go. And then I'll teach them on the shore. Like, so we're going to start on our stomach. We're going to go nice and slow. Then we're going to crawl up onto her knees. We're going to have our chest up. We're going to have her head looking to where we're going. We're going to pay attention to what else is happening on the lake. Once you feel comfortable from being on your knees, then we're going to stand up slowly.

[00:15:17] And then once you stand up slowly, keeping your weight forward, putting pressure on your front foot, chest up, head looking forward. And once you're there, you're going pretty slow still. Once you're standing there, you just kind of plowing through the water. So once you're doing that, we'll make some adjustments where you sit not standing on the board to get it play anymore. And then you're, we're going, then we're going and, and we're going slow and I'm, or the instructors right there with you. So you're not just out there by yourself.

[00:15:45] So they're usually on another flight board in the case that they're not, then they're either on like a paddle board or sometimes a jet ski. But 80% of the time, the instructor will be on another eFoil right there helping you out. So there's no, no worries that you're just going to be floating up under the lake by yourself. And, and that's basically it. And, and we'll just go over all that again on the dock before we go out.

[00:16:10] And, and, and then I'll ask you if you have any questions and hopefully come back with a big smile on your face. Oh, that's sweet. Do you find a lot of people need to start off sitting and foiling or kneeling and foiling before they go to stand up? Cause that's what I found for toe foiling. If you progress them too quickly to standing, it could be a pretty dangerous disaster, but is it different for eFoil? Yeah, it's, it's a little, I think it's a, it's a little bit different for eFoil and also a little bit different for like each individual.

[00:16:40] So if you're like a bigger guy, you're probably going to take a little bit longer to crawl up, up onto the thing. If, but if you're like a smaller, like kind of kid, like a teenager, I find they are just right on their knees. And as soon as there's a little bit of power, they're right up onto their feet and they're not, they're not messing around so much on their stomach. I really want people to like be on your stomach. Once the board is moving, let's get up onto our knees and then, and then let's get up onto our feet.

[00:17:08] Cause the sooner we can get up onto our feet, the more, the more control you're going to sort of have to turn. And cause you're not going fast when you get up onto your feet. So I would say it's kind of like, I've seen both. I've seen people struggle to get up onto their knees from their, from their stomach. And I've also seen people struggle getting from their knees to their feet. So it's kind of case by case, but I would say most people get right to their knees and then right to their feet when, when they're, when they're learning. Yeah. There's not a lot of time. Yeah.

[00:17:37] And then they get off and they start foiling right away. Well, no, they're not, they're not foiling right away as they, as they stand up because the board's going so slow still. Like you're like, so you're on your knees, you're going pretty slow. You're just kind of plowing through the water. And then when you stand up on your feet, you're still going that slow speed. But now that you're standing up, you're, you're now going to put weight on that front foot and that's going to push the nose down. And then now you're going to be planning more. And then, and then from there, you're probably going to want to jack up the speed a little bit.

[00:18:06] So you're going to hit the plus button on the, on the controller. So the flight, so the flight controller has like 20 gears. So it starts on one. So one is like, you know, say five kilometers an hour. And then, you know, two is like, it goes, I think up in three or four like kilometers an hour, um, each, each number. So you would be on like, depending on your, on your weight, you know, you would be a three or four to get to like just stand up.

[00:18:31] And then once you're standing up, you can get a little bit more power to get it, to get the board, you know, now moving. And that's where you're going to start foiling is when the board starts to plane and you start going a little bit faster. But right when you get from your knees to your feet, you, the board shouldn't be, shouldn't take up on you like that. If it launches up on you, then you're way too far back on it. And you're probably going a little bit too fast. That's why you don't feel really slow from the beginning.

[00:18:58] Cause a lot of times when they're learning how to foil, as soon as the friction disappears, they fall off the back. So this is slightly different. Slightly different. Um, there's more like on the big boards, there's lots of like volume of the board to like keep you floated on top of it. Where like on the smaller, like on those type of boards, like wings or mass, um, you need to be moving to, to stay on it.

[00:19:25] So as soon as there's like any little, like as soon as you start losing the lift of it, it's going to turtle or you're going to fall back. So I think that's where people kind of, that's what happens to them. They're not, they don't understand that. Okay. Once like speed is sort of your friend once you get going, but because the flight board is, it doesn't take off right when you stand up. It needs a lot more speed to get going than it would like one of those other, one of those other, um, foils or boards. Because, you know, it's so heavy.

[00:19:54] It's like 60 pads plus the, um, the, you know, the human on top of it. So, so yeah, when you stand up, when you, when you learn to eat foil, it's not, the foil does not pop up on you unless you're going too fast right away. But that's just poor instruction. So you want to just be going nice and slow. You're going to be, when you stand up on the board, the board is just going to be plowing in the water. There's no, the foil doesn't rise up. It doesn't do anything until you start going faster.

[00:20:22] Once you start going faster, then you'll, then we'll make adjustments on the board to like shift your weight back. And then that will allow the board to come up and then, then we're foiling. So that's the same as now, like, you know, being in front foot, being in your back foot. So once you're up foiling, it's the same as if you're foiling on, you know, a kite or it's the same, same idea. But just getting started is super slow and mellow. Like you could ride around all day just on the board and not, and not even rise up.

[00:20:52] So that's what we get most people doing first is just kind of riding around on the board, getting comfortable and then shift your weight, get that nose down because that'll get the board to plane. And then there'll be less resistance for it to get, gain speed faster. Hope that makes sense. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, I was just kind of curious because that's a little bit different. Um, but if people want to do any of the other sports, cause you've been on the water since you were a kid, will you give lessons in any of the other stuff that you do as well? Yeah. Yeah. So we'll give wake foil lessons.

[00:21:21] Um, and then we also do like surf, like surf lessons and water sweeper lessons. We offer like kids camp programs. So, um, at a marina, we offer kids camp. So, uh, you know, drop your kid off and we'll, they'll hang out with a bunch of other kids all day and they'll go water skiing, wakeboarding. They'll be on the boat. So we, they can pack a lunch or, um, their parents can give us money and they can go have lunch and we play games on the dock and there's movies if it's a rain day.

[00:21:51] And so it's really, um, a great place to bring your kids for the weekly kids camp. And then we also offer, you know, our boat clinic. So we'll bring like a brand new master craft and all the ski gear and two instructors to your cottage for a half day, full day, whatever you want, or even a party. We'll do a party if you want like a ski show at a party. So anything on the water that you can think of, we can do it or we will offer it. We can offer it. Sick, man. And you're not that far from Toronto.

[00:22:19] So anybody in that big city, obviously they're heading up to cottage country anyways. So it'd be good for them to be able to check that out. And if they're brand new to water period, sounds like you got a lot of those bases covered. Yeah. Toronto is really only two hours from here and that's where a lot of our, um, customers come from. That's where everyone comes from. But there's lots of cottage country around, which makes it great for our business and lots of opportunity to have customers.

[00:22:44] And there's also, you know, more, um, e-foil schools popping up and lots of other water ski school schools popping up. So, you know, it's not, um, water sports is healthy here in Ontario. It's really boomed over the last, since COVID, like it's really kind of taken off. And, um, you know, there's more ski schools. And like I said, e-foil, um, popping up everywhere. So it's, um, it's healthy here in Ontario for sure. It's too bad our season's so short. Yeah, that's the only problem. So what about affiliations?

[00:23:13] Are you guys affiliated with any, um, obviously you're a flight board. So any, any other affiliations do you guys have? Um, so we're, so for a flight board dealer and, um, service center, uh, and flights of obviously. Um, and then we sell O'Brien water sports, uh, water ski equipment. Uh, we're a Kawasaki dealer as well. We sell legend boats as well, a legend boat dealer. So they're, um, they're a Canadian company. Um, and we're also an etch water dealer.

[00:23:41] Um, we're trying to pick up, um, a ski line, but they're kind of all wrapped up with the, uh, the big marinas here. They won't, uh, let the little guy, uh, have a little piece, but, but we're, um, but we, but we do really well in that department, uh, with selling our jet skis and our edge waters and flight board, flight boards. So, um, we offer, uh, you know, all that here in Muskoka and come.

[00:24:04] So if you're not just looking for an EFOL, we'll sell you, um, you know, um, a t-shirt at our surf shop or a jet ski or a boat or come on down to the used boat store. Like that's us, you know? Is there anything else that you would want to add to people out there about what you offer or about the experiences that you guys provide? Um, uh, well, I think we've, I think we've covered a lot of great stuff. Um, you know, just check us out online, uh, hit us up. We're, um, you know, we're a great group to be around.

[00:24:33] We've got lots of nice, um, you know, high school university kids that, um, run our programs and drive the boats and our ski school instructors. Our water ski show on Tuesday nights in Bala, um, has been, has been a huge hit. We get like loads of people there if it's a nice, uh, summer day. We're going to be doing some flight board demo stuff this summer.

[00:24:53] So, um, keep an eye on our social media for, uh, like, you know, come and do product testing and, and, you know, like learn, learn from the best and stuff and, and see all the new gear. And then we'll, at the end of the season, we'll have end of season sales. So stuff that, um, this season that, that was maybe slightly, slightly used or we didn't sell, they'll be offered at a discounted rate. And there's lots of offer here in Muskoka. Um, there's lots of great hiking and biking and waterfalls and swimming and food.

[00:25:22] And it's, it's really great. It's really the best spot in, um, you know, in the world, in my opinion, for, uh, you know, July and August, really. It's really special that we get to call this place home. Yeah. Yeah. I spent a lot of time, um, at Algonquin and then I would head down to Huntsville and check that place. So it's absolutely. Yeah. No, Huntsville is just up from us here. We do, we do a little bit of stuff there. We're doing a water ski show there in July. Um, yeah, there's kind of two, like two kind of Muskoka areas.

[00:25:50] So like we're in the South of Muskoka and then like Huntsville is like kind of the North of Muskoka. So we're the three big lakes here and then they kind of have like four or five sort of smaller lakes. And then that'll kind of flows down to us. So it's kind of Muskoka is kind of, there's a pocket here in Muskoka and then there's a pocket here in Muskoka. And then in between that, there's like different townships and stuff. It's kind of funny, uh, how it all, uh, how it all works out.

[00:26:14] But, um, there's lots to do, uh, if you're either here in Port Carlin or like up in the Brooklyn park or even Huntsville, you could spend a month here and not. Oh yeah, you could. Yeah. Super simple. What's your website and all your socials? Um, eFullsportsmuskoka and our Instagram handle is also eFullsportsmuskoka. Our marina and ski school stuff is swsmuskoka. Um, and the same, same as the website for the website.

[00:26:42] And I'm Charlie Newlands. My handle. And family run and operated, right? Yeah. Family run and operated, um, probably the last, last family run, operate marina. All the, all the other marinas have got, have got, uh, bought up by this, um, you know, big corporate marina company. That's trying to, uh, eliminate, uh, the little dogs. So we're still fighting and, um, there's still lots of business for everybody, but, um, interesting times out there for sure. Yeah, I can imagine.

[00:27:11] Well, hey buddy, thanks for coming back on. It was nice to see you. Yeah. Thanks. And, uh, you know, I've really enjoyed, uh, listening to all the other guests on your podcast and this is really growing the sport what you guys are doing here. And, um, you know, I'm a big fan and, uh, I'll keep promoting you guys and, and doing all that. Last question. Yeah. How is he foiling through that slushy ice? We put out a couple reels of that stuff with some, uh, Titanic in the background. Yeah.

[00:27:37] I was almost, uh, Jack almost drowned again, um, there, but, um, no, it's fun. It's, it's, it's fun out there. It's, it's a little, it's a little intimidating at first because you, you're hoping you don't run into like a solid part where, where, where like you've got where you think it's all slush. Um, but it's been good. And it kind of though, the foil like will twitch a bit. Like when, um, when like the, like when it, like when the ice like cuts along like the, the edge of the foil, it can like kind of twitch a little bit.

[00:28:07] So that's kind of like unexpected. No, but it's like, it's, it's sweet. And, um, it's been good for that. And, um, you know, the flight board loves the content and, uh, and that. And the versatility of the board, right? Like it can handle that cold. Yeah. They like the cold. They like the cold. Um, because you know, it's all, it's all water cooled the, um, uh, E foil. So they love the cold, the cold water. They have no problem in the cold water at all.

[00:28:32] No, we, we found like in the earlier, in the earlier days of the jet modules, the jet ones. Um, if you're in really warm, like, like, like Caribbean water, they, they would heat up and, um, would overheat. So luckily we've solved that problem, but, uh, yeah, warm colder water is better for the flight boards. Um, you know, for, for that, for that reason. That's good for Canadians and anybody else flying in from other countries. It is what it is.

[00:29:02] If you have warm water here, thank you. I like, I'll like, I'll like to see that. Yeah. All right, buddy. We'll chat to you soon. All right. Well, thanks. Thanks for having me on again.
